Where is Your Journey Taking You?

A close friend, Ekkehard Koch, asked me, “Where is your journey taking you?” He also included a book he was reading to expand his spiritual territory in his comments.

Books I’m Reading

So, I’ll start with what I’m reading. I was an advanced reader and endorser for a book by Rene Chehardy, Forged: From Toxicity to Emotional and Spiritual Freedom. This is Rene’s story, from orphan spirit to experiencing Sonship to a Heavenly Father’s love and Kingdom Inheritance. Then at the start of our trip to Alaska, Pastor Phillip Corbett gave me a copy of his book Running with Your Second Wind. This book teaches proven principles on living in God’s presence and shares testimonies of people whose lives have been changed. This was the first thing I read while on the plane trip, and I finished it when I got to our lake cabin. I was also asked to read before the re-publication of Heaven is Real – The Rest of the Story by Ron and Glenda Pettey. In this book the reader walks with the Pettey’s through their trials and triumphs and allows the Holy Spirit to bring a deeper relationship with the Heavenly Father. This was my second book to read during the vacation. I started a book by Jack Frost, Experiencing Father’s Embrace. I’m still reading it. This book was recommended to me by Joyce Foster.

I’m also reading;
Bill Johnson’s Resting Place, Living Immersed in the Presence of God
The One Year Chronological Bible NLT
And a book Tanya surprised me with, Joseph Loconte’s, A Hobbit A Wardrobe and A Great War, How JRR. Tolkien and CS Lewis Rediscovered Faith, Friendship, and Heroism in the Cataclysm of 1914-1918

Church Involvement

We are also active in MosaicNac Church in Nacogdoches, Texas, serving on the prayer team. We were leading a home group. However, home groups were transitioning and sensed we were to step aside from that position. We still attend another home group with dear friends we connected with last year through a couple we’ve known for over forty years. That home group is out of another church here in Lufkin.

Then we connected with Pastor Joshua Poage of Clawson AG Church in Pollok, Texas. We’ve attended a monthly minister’s prayer meeting and luncheon for several months. We also participated in a Miracle Night at his church last month and plan on attending Saturday night services starting soon.

Schools of Ministry have yet to launch. I strongly feel we will have a school or schools starting the first of 2024.

A final answer to “Where is your journey taking you?” It can perhaps be best explained by the Blog “What are you doing in Alaska” that I published on 7/24/2023.

Until next time I pray for your Grace and Peace.
