I’m asking 7 intercessors to pray with me for 7 days.
I’m calling this 2.0 because I’ve done this once before. April 25, 2022, I asked the same thing, “…7 intercessors to pray with me for 7 days.” I’ll tell you the results from 2022. I posted this request the early morning, it was a Monday. That evening, we had a contract. We drove to Nacogdoches and Lufkin area the next weekend. Toured houses on Sunday and Monday. By Monday evening, 7 days later, May 2, we had a contract on our new home in Lufkin. That’s the home we are now in and that we have placed on the market.
I was impressed to do this last week. But, I dismissed it as being very personal and not of God. Then, on Sunday, we had Mike Harper as a guest speaker at Clawson Church. During his message, he talked at some length about the miracle of Joshua and the Children of Israel marching around the walls of Jericho. They did it naturally, walked around the city, and God did the supernatural, the walls came tumbling down. I felt this was a confirmation. However, once again, I procrastinated. I told myself to wait a week. Because we will be gone for several days. Then, last night, Monday, at the International Church of Nacogdoches, Pastor Dennis Land during the School of Ministry was speaking about Faith. An example in his message was Joshua and the Children of Israel marching around the walls of Jericho. I told Pastor Dennis when I left that he had given me confirmation. I think that is sufficient confirmation that I’m to do this. So here goes.
Once again, Tanya and I are moving, returning to Nacogdoches, Texas, after 45 years. Our experiences these last two years have been profound, and I look forward to sharing them in my upcoming book, Spiritual Wanderings. Briefly, we launched Eagles Rest Ministry. Two Schools of Ministry have been launched. We are involved in teaching and preaching at Duncan and Diboll Correctional Facilities. Four new books have been published.
Our current obstacle, or, as I’m calling it, our Jericho, is not just a house sale but a significant milestone in our journey, selling our home in Lufkin, Texas. We will take the equity and prepare to move to Nacogdoches. Tanya and Melanie, her sister, own their mother’s home. Melanie and her husband, J.D., are now living there. They are in the process of building a new home. First, we sell our home, and then they move into their new home. We then renovate the home place in Nacogdoches. And we move there. After the sale of our home, we will lease a place until we finally move to NAC.
I humbly ask for your prayers, hoping our home will sell within this time of our collective prayer.
Will you do this with me?
Please let me know if God gives you a word in any form. Your spiritual guidance is invaluable to us.
We are deeply grateful for your support and prayers. With great expectations and a prayer for God’s blessings, we set out on this journey.
The Bible says, “We have this treasure in clay jars, so that the ordinary power may be from God and not from us. 2 Corinthians 4:7. We’re ready to go where He goes and do whatever He tells us. But whatever is done, He’s the One who will do it! We trust in His plan for us.
Isaiah 26:12, “Lord…. you have also done all our work for us.”
We are filled with anticipation for the journey ahead, knowing that we have your prayers and support with us.
This is day 1.
PRAYER POINTS
SALE OF HOME — Thank God for this property. It has been a significant place of God’s presence and ministry. People have stayed, fellowshipped, and been ministered to and have ministered to us. We have had home groups meet here. Pastors and other ministers have come here and made plans. Books have been written. Friends have been made. Ministries have been launched. We need your prayers for the sale of this home. Pray that it sells quickly—all in God’s timing.
WE PRAY FOR THE NEXT OCCUPANTS — We pray that the next occupants will live here and experience God’s presence. Again, the property sells quickly to the right people.
WE PRAY FOR OUR REALTOR – Glenda Pettey. She sold us this home and has been a part of our journey here. Now, she is selling this home for us, and we ask for prayers for her wisdom, guidance, and success in this endeavor. She is not just a realtor but a good friend who has been with us through thick and thin.
WE PRAY FOR ALL THE PAST WORKERS – We are deeply grateful for the hard work and dedication of all the past workers who have contributed to the upkeep of this property. Let us remember and pray for the yard crews, pressure washers, gutter installers, roof workers, painters, window washers, concrete workers, tree removers, stump grinders, appliance repairman, drapery installers, electricians, sheetrock workers, pest control, handypersons, linemen who repaired the power lines in two storms, and fence repairers after trees fell into our yard from our neighbors. May their efforts be blessed. And let us also pray for all future workers working on this property.
PRAY FOR US, TANYA AND PAUL POTTER. As we embark on our journey to a new location and future ministries, we seek your prayers and blessings. We are planning to continue our ministry work in the new location and may God guide and use us for His work in our new endeavors.
PRAY FOR TANYA’S SISTER, MELANIE, AND HER HUSBAND, JD – as they finish planning and building their new home.
WE EMBARK ON THIS RENOVATION JOURNEY TOGETHER, WITH YOUR PRAYERS AND SUPPORT – Please pray for us as we plan and renovate Tanya’s mother’s home in Nacogdoches and for the workers and suppliers involved in the renovation. Your role in this project is invaluable.
PRAY FOR ALL FUTURE GUESTS – entering this home so that they may feel welcomed and at peace. And those who are entering our next dwelling place.
WE PRAY OVER EVERY ROOM, EVERY DOOR, THE YARD, THE PATIO, THE DRIVEWAY, THE GARAGE, THE PROPERTY.
IN THE MATCHLESS NAME OF THE KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS, JESUS, THE CHRIST, THE SON OF THE LIVING GOD.
AMEN AND AMEN.
We love and appreciate you praying with us and your continued support in this journey. Your prayers and blessings are integral to our future endeavors and the success of this renovation project.
