A Journey Back to Our Roots: The Power of Thinking

Here I sit. And think.
There was a time,
many, in fact,
That my dad sat and thought.
And I know my grandfather sat and thought.
I saw Grandfather sit in the passenger seat of our car.
Dad was driving and
My grandfather sat teaching through the Psalm numbered 23, something for which he thought about.

My great-grandfather sat. Never saw him. Never met him. However,
My great-grandfather had to sit; at least, we would assume so. And he had to think.

Our forefathers sat. And thought.

We should sit again, and think,
Together. And discuss who we are and why we are here and where we are going.

Now, get up!
It’s time to think about the future and take action. We’re at risk of losing our essence, of becoming something unrecognizable. We’ve strayed from our path, taken a wrong turn at the crossroads. But it’s not too late to turn back.

Turn back!
Let’s find our way back to the right road, the road of our core values and beliefs. It’s time to reconnect with who we are and what we stand for.
I said, “Right Road,” the one paved with our family’s values, the one that leads to a future we can be proud of.
