Some of the days that changed my life forever began like any other day.
Coffee.
Dishes.
A few messages answered.
Things moved from one place to another.
Nothing in the morning announced that the road was about to turn.
But before the day ended, a telephone call came. A door opened. Someone spoke a sentence I could never forget. Something ordinary became a marker stone.
We live life forward, but much of it can be understood only when we look back.
That is when we recognize the turn.
That is when we see that God was already standing at the bend in the road.
So today, I will attend to the ordinary things before me.
I will make the coffee.
I will put away the dishes.
I will answer the messages.
And I will remain watchful.
This may appear to be just another ordinary day.
But God has always been rather fond of entering ordinary days.

His first major job out of the Air Force was broadcasting as an announcer, journalist, director, and producer in radio and TV.
He was producer and announcer of nationally syndicated The Baptist Hour, Master Control, and other radio programs.
