I thought I was getting a late start.
But I had repaired the electronic starter for the gas logs. The fire was glowing. The dishes were washed. I had talked with our realtor and selected four houses to explore. Tanya and I had already driven through neighborhoods and eliminated four others.
Sometimes we dismiss the ordinary things because they do not look like our “real work.”
But perhaps the day begins before we sit at the desk.
Perhaps changing batteries, washing dishes, making decisions, and sharing a drive with someone we love are not interruptions to life.
They are life.
The coffee is ready. The fire is burning. There are words waiting to be written.
It is going to be a good day.
To recognizing the day that has already begun…
…and God’s blessings.
